Looted sugar recovered in Karachi
KARACHI: Police raided in Northern Bypass and Taiser Town, recovering looted sugar bags worth millions of rupees and arresting two accused here, Geo News reported.
According to the police official, a truck laden with sugar bags was stopped when it was passing through Northern By-pass in the jurisdiction of Gadap Town.
After not getting convincible reply from driver, police seized the truck and took 300 bags of sugar into its custody.
During interrogation, the driver revealed that there were more bags of sugar in a godown located in Taiser Town from where he lifted those bags.
Later, police raided the godown and recovered 600 bags of sugar and arrested one more accused present at the site.
