Lakki Marwat: Motorcyclists booked
LAKKI MARWAT, Dec 16: Police on Thursday booked several bike riders for violating ban on pillion riding.
The district administration had banned pillion riding on 9th and 10th of Muharram as part of security plan to maintain peace during Ashura.
On the directives of DPO Gul Wali Khan traffic wardens posted in Lakki city launched a drive against pillion riding and took legal action against over a dozen motorbike riders who were found involved in violating the ban.
Meanwhile, DCO Lakki Marwat paid a visit to parts of the urban locality and routes of mourners’ processions to check security arrangements there.
He also met Shia leaders and discussed with them the law and order situation and security arrangements for peaceful observance of Muharram.
