Islamabad: 3 kidnappers held, man recovered
ISLAMABAD: Federal police on Monday arrested three kidnappers who were trying to flee towards Peshawar after kidnapping a man from Chungi No 26 who went to abductors to pay ransom for the person already in their custody.
A police spokesman said that Islamabad police received a message that a car IDB-8729 was heading towards Chungi No 26.
The unknown men abducted Asad while he was handing over ransom amount to them for the person Azhar Mehmud abducted few days ago.
When Asad got down of his car to pay the ransom amount to the kidnappers, they made him hostage at gunpoint, pushed him in his own car and headed towards Peshawar, said Bashir father of Asad.
Following this incident, Bashir called Rescue 15 and introduced him as father of Azhar Mehmood and Asad.
Bashir told police that he was chasing the car of the kidnappers in the area of Tarnol. Through wireless messages and call from Rescue 15 informed the police team already patrolling in the area, managed to stop the car of kidnappers at Sang Jani toll plaza and arrested three occupants of car, recovered Asad while the accomplices of the kidnappers, providing them cover in another vehicle, managed to escape after seeing the police party.
The nabbed kidnappers were identified as Firdous Alam, Ikhlaq Ahmed, Abdul Rauf while one Kalashnikov and 30 bore pistol were also recovered from them. Case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
