ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday sent two cases of fake degree holders to the District Police Officers (DPOs).
The cases of Ali Madad Jaddak, the Balochistan food minister, and Ahmad Yar Waran, former Pakistan People’s Party member of the National Assembly, were sent to the DPOs for lodging First Information Reports (FIRs) against them.
A total of six cases have been sent to the DPOs for starting proceedings against the parliamentarians, who contested the elections on fake bachelors degrees, an ECP official said.
He said out of 1,100 degrees, the Higher Education Commission had not yet verified more than 250 degrees and it had declared 58 degrees of parliamentarians fake.
