Karachi: Drug dealer nabbed, 440kg heroin recovered
KARACHI: The Excise and Taxation Department’s police, in a massive drive against drug dealers, raided different areas of Karachi and recovered 440 kilogrammes of heroin.
As per details, Sindh Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawala directed the excise police to launch a crackdown against drug dealers after receiving information from secret sources.
He constituted a raiding team under Deputy Director South J Ram Das. The team raided the area of Kashmir Colony and Mahmoodabad, arrested Zaib-un-Nissa and recovered 440kg heroin from the den.
Twenty-eight FIRs have been registered against her under Act CNS 1997. The price of the confiscated heroin is $4.4 million in the international market.
As per initial investigation, a resident of Sohrab Goth Rashid Pathan was supplying the contraband to Zaib-un-Nissa for the last eight years.
