MQM-H worker found shot dead in Landhi
KARACHI: A young activist of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, better known as MQM-Haqiqi, was found shot dead in Landhi on Tuesday, police and party sources said.
They said that the bullet-riddled body of the activist of the MQM-Haqiqi, 20-year-old Sajjad Khan alias Nankhataai, was found in Landhi No 5.
The body bore severe torture marks and multiple bullet wounds, they added.
“The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre,” said an official at the Landhi Police Station.
“The victim had been missing since Monday evening and it seems that he was kidnapped before being murdered by unidentified people.”
The police showed unawareness about the motive behind the murder. However, a spokesman for the MQM-H said that the youngster was targeted due to his political association.
“He was associated with Unit-83 of our Landhi Sector. He is the fifth victim of target killings of our workers since last month,” he said.
