Quetta: Jattak to face criminal charges in fake degree case
QUETTA: The sacked PPP minister for food Ali Madad Jattak, will face criminal charges for holding a fake and invalid degree and committing a breach of trust while contesting the last general elections.
The provincial Election Commission had filed a formal FIR against Jattak for possessing and using a fake degree, which was punishable under the People’s Representative Act.
The case was filed in the Civil Lines Police Station Quetta, on the direction of the Supreme Court and on the complaint of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
Earlier, a case had been registered against Mir Zahoor Ahmed Khosa, an MPA, for possessing and using an invalid and fake degree.
The case was registered on the basis of Supreme Court’s verdict on the subject.
