ATTOCK, Jan 8: District Police Officer (DPO) Dr Mohammad Akhtar Abbas dismissed a constable and also awarded punishment to six other officials of the district police for negligence and misconduct.
The district police headquarters said here that the DPO dismissed Constable Amir Shafique for remaining absent from duty and withheld one-year increment of SI Abdul Wahab and SI Mehmood of Pindigheb police station.
They had been served notices on account of inefficiency and negligence in their duties, they said.
Similarly, two years service of SI Muhammad Sabir and one year service of SI Muhammad Sarwar were forfeited for poor investigations of important cases, they informed.
Likewise, the notices were issued to two police officials ASI Ghulam Shabeer and Constable Muhammad Asif for misconduct, they said.
Meanwhile, the DPO also reshuffled nine officials of the district police including two SHOs, the police sources maintained.
