3 hurt in Nawan Kiliy seminary blast
PESHAWAR: Three persons including two minor girls were wounded in a blast near a seminary on Monday.
The blast occurred at Nawan Kiliy in limits of Peshtakhara Police Station. Those injured were identified as Maryam (7), Shazia (6) and an Afghan boy Zahid Khan (16).
The injured were taken to Khyber Teaching Hospital by the rescuers of 1122. The hospital sources said all of them had sustained multiple wounds.
A police official said the explosive packed in a plastic bag weighing about 4kg had been detonated through a remote control.
Locals said they spotted two men digging ground near a religious seminary Anwar-ul-Quran in the afternoon. However they could not identify the men.
