Gangster’s murder sparks panic in Lyari
KARACHI: Lyari Town faced tension on Monday after unidentified culprits gunned down an alleged gangster within the jurisdiction of Eidgah Police Station.
According to details, 30-year-old Asghar, son of Ghulam Mohammad was shot and injured at Syed Mahmood Shah Road by the firing of unidentified persons.
He was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi where he succumbed to his injuries. Following his killing, panic and fear gripped various parts of Lyari including Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Road, Bihar Colony, Chakiwara and other areas where unidentified persons resorted to aerial firing to force the shopkeepers to drop their shutters.
SHO Amjad Kiyani said that the deceased was associated with the gangster group in Lyari.
A case was registered while no major incident happened in the locality.
