Islamabad: 4 criminal gangs busted
ISLAMABAD: CIA Property Wing busted four gangs of outlaws and arrested 15 persons including two housemaids allegedly involved in burglaries; snatching valuables at gunpoint and also recovered four pistols, dagger, cash and valuables.
The members of the first gang, identified as Sajid Ali, Akbar Khan, and Muhammad Haroon, stormed in a house in Sector I-8/4 on October 20, 2010 and made away with laptop, gold ornaments, mobile phones and other items. After the arrest police recovered all above-named particulars.
Meanwhile, seven criminals of another gang were arrested for their alleged involvement in dacoities and four pistols, one dagger and three mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
A mobile phone and licensed 45-bore pistol of PRO to PM have also been recovered from them.
A case had been registered about this theft at Shalimar Police Station on November 8, 2010.
Four members of this gang were Afghan nationals and were identified as Raheemullah Khan, Nizamuddin alias Barra, Attauullah alias Peer Meo, Jan Muhammad alias Jane while others were Umer Khan, Sher Dil alias Mardani, Saoon Ali. These persons have also confessed to committing dacoities in three other houses in Sector G-11/2, Sector I-10/3 and a house in Sector G-9/1.
Separately, two housemaids, residents of Islamabad and Sargodha, were arrested for stealing cash and other valuables from a house in Sector F-7/2. Cash amounting Rs670,000 had also been recovered from them.
Two persons were arrested and a car with fake registration number LRS-3516 had been also recovered from their possession. This registration number was allotted to motorcycle and its actual number was LRM-6711.
