KARACHI: The excise police have arrested five accused and recovered homemade wine and heroin from their possession in three separate raids, said a press release on Monday.

As per details, the police on a tip-off raided a house in Christian Colony near a church in FC Area, arrested three accused, Babar Masih, Ashiq Masih and Danish Masih and recovered 120 grams of heroin from their possession. The accused used to sell heroin in small packets.
In another action, the excise police conducted a raid in Christian Colony near Ittehad Town bus stop and arrested accused Mohammad Ilyas, son of Mohammad Fareed and recovered 39 bottles of homemade wine.
In another operation the excise south police conducted a raid on a drug den in a house in Kashmir Colony, Mehmoodabad area and arrested a female accused Zaibunnisa, wife of Morre and recovered 440 grams of heroin while the other accused Rashid Khan managed to flee. He was told to be the supplier of heroin in the area.
The excise police have registered cases against the accused and initiated further investigation.
