Islamabad: ASI suspended for negligence
ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tahir Alam Khan suspended Sabzi Mandi police station’s assistant sub-inspector (ASI) for negligence, but took no notice on three other same cases that occurred within a fortnight.
Instructions of Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take action against the officer concerned for crime in his area were also ignored in these cases.
According to sources, body of a 15-year-old boy was recovered from a water tank in an under-construction house.
During investigation it was found that boy was kidnapped from the area of Pirwadahi and later murdered. Khan took notice of the incident and suspended ASI Muhammad Akram for negligence.
They said in past Muhammad Rafaqat lodged a First Information Report (FIR) vide number 146 with Nilor police station that in Kunjah village Tsaduq, Bashir and others murdered his brother Nazakat Hussain with pistol, but area police made no progress in investigation.
Besides, a 15 years old boy was murdered in the limits of Shahzad Town Police Station and his body was thrown in a well but police failed to trace the murderers.
In other case Airport police found body of a man kidnapped for ransom from Korang Nullah, in the limits of Koral Police Station, but the area police knew nothing about this incident.
