Trader shot dead in Kharadar
KARACHI: A trader was shot dead in the Kharadar area in the early hours of Tuesday, police said.
They said the victim, identified as Abdul Ghaffar, was sitting with his friends in Cloth Market area of Kharadar when a car carrying three men emerged.
“One of the men carrying a pistol got off the car and fired multiple shots at Abdul Ghaffar,” said Saddar Town SSP Irshad Ali Sehar.
“The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds and was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) where he died. He sustained bullet wounds in the chest, abdomen and head.”
The victim was a resident of Jamshed Town and owned a video shop at Rainbow Centre.
The police said the victim used to visit Kharadar frequently to see his friends.
“The murder appears to be the result of some personal enmity and we have traced some key leads in this regard,” said the SSP, adding that the Kharadar police registered an FIR (13/2010) under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code against unknown persons on a complaint of the elder son of the victim.
