Estate agent kidnapped in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI: An estate agent who went missing over the weekend is being held by kidnappers who are demanding Rs50million ransom to free him, his family said.
Police said Mohammad Iqbal’s son Ahmed Iqbal reported that his father had left their house in Westridge around 12:30pm on Saturday.
Both remained in contact by phone but after some time his father’s cellphone did not respond to his calls, he said.
After several hours, he received a call confirming the family’s worst fears.
The caller said his father had been kidnapped and demanded Rs50 million in ransom.
According to SP Pervaiz Bandial, the kidnappers set no deadline for delivering the ransom.
