Karachi: 3 target killers nabbed
KARACHI: Security agencies have picked up three target killers involved in the killings of Awami National Party (ANP) workers from Superhighway in the limits of Gadap Town Police Station.
Police sources said that police and Rangers in a joint operation arrested three notorious criminals involved in the killings of various people, including the workers of ANP, who were gunned down last week in Pehalwan Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
Police said that the accused persons were trying to leave the city when security agencies picked them up and took them to an unknown location.
The arrested men Muddasir alias Chief, Atif Shahab and Raees alias Arastu were running their own gang and involved in various criminal activities including land grabbing, killing and kidnapping for ransom.
Police said that the accused had formerly been affiliated with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shaheed Bhutto Group and now they were running their own gang.
Sources said that Chief’s elder brother was known as Muzaffar Bhutto and various other operatives had also been killed earlier in various clashes and target-killing incidents with rival group of Liaquat Bangash affiliated with ANP.
