Suicide blast kills 27 in Mardan
MARDAN: A suicide attack targeting a military parade on Thursday killed at least 27 people in Mardan, according to DPO Zeeshan Haider.
Express 24/7 correspondent Iftikhar Firdous reported that the suicide bomber is believed to be a 14-year-old boy who was wearing a uniform of the Aziz Bhatti School.
Most of those killed were soldiers. At least 40 other people were critically injured in the blast, confirmed Haider.
Two military officials in Peshawar confirmed that the blast took place in a military parade saying “several soldiers have been killed and several others injured”.
State television reported that the explosion took place inside the Punjab regiment centre.
