4 human traffickers held in Rajanpur
RAJANPUR: At least four human traffickers were arrested in Rajanpur on Tuesday allegedly accused of smuggling handicapped children to UAE.
Rajanpur Police arrested accused Haji Gulab, his son Shah Mahmood, Ghulam Hyder and Ismail and also registered a case of human trafficking against them.
Police said the accused were involved in trafficking the disabled children to UAE and then used them for begging.
Fifth member of the gang succeeded to flee from the scene. Police during raid at their den also recovered a car and a minor.
The recovered handicapped child was identified as Ghulam Abbas Bhutta who told private TV channel that he was a student of local Madarsa and the accused were going to sell him after offering him a reasonable amount.
During initial investigation, police recovered an invitation sent by N-league MPA Atif Mazari asking the accused to be present during the visit of PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif at a function.
