Blast damages railway track in Dalbandin
QUETTA: Four bogies of the Economic Cooperation Organisation’s (ECO) freight train were damaged and a four-feet portion of the railway track was blown up in an explosion near Dalbandin in Chagai district on Monday.
According to Chagai Assistant Commissioner, Tufail Baloch, some unidentified people had planted an explosive device on the railway track near Dadder Landi area, some five kilometres from Dalbandin railway station, and detonated it when the Istanbul-bound ECO freight train passed through the area. The blast damaged four sections of the train and blew up four-feet-long section of the track. However, no one was injured in the blast.
