Revenue officials booked in Haripur
HARIPUR: A criminal case was registered against district officer revenue, two patwaris, a head clerk and a woman for allegedly transferring a piece of land on forged documents.
Sources at the local anti-corruption department said, Nasir Khan of village Chohr Sharif, had through a complaint with the department in 2010, stated he owned a piece of land in the village valuing at over Rs1,032 million. But DOR Mohammad Naeem Khan, head clerk Abdul Khaliq, two patwaris namely Ghayur and Khalid forged the documents and transferred the ownership in the name of Tasleem Bibi of Village Abdulla Pur who later received the compensation from the communication department which had acquired the land for building a road.
The anti-corruption department, following a probe, found them guilty and registered criminal cases against them.
