4 constables get bail in Lahore
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday granted bail to four constables accused in the murder case of two brothers in Silakot last year.
Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry admitted bail application of Yasin, Ashraf, Nazir and Bashir requiring them to submit surety bond in the sum of Rs100,000 each for their release on bail.
The petitioner through their counsel argued that they had no role in the lynching of two brothers as they did not even touch them. They pointed out that police officers had already been released on bail in the same case and a rule of consistency also applied to the petitioners.
