MQM-H activist gunned down in Karachi
KARACHI: An activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement–Haqiqi (MQM-H) was gunned down on Thursday in an incident of target killing near Jauhar More in the precincts of Sharah-e-Faisal police station.
The victim 40-year-old Imtiaz alias Munna, son of Altaf, was the resident of Gulshan View, Gulistan-e-Jauhar. He was going home on his motorcycle, when two armed men on a motorcycle intercepted him and opened indiscriminate firing on him near Cash n Carry shop situated at Jauhar-e-More.
He sustained bullet injuries and died after a few moments. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.
DSP Ramzan Gopang said the victim was released from jail four months ago and he had murder cases registered against him, adding that he was the resident of Orangi Town, but nowadays he used to live in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Gopang said it’s an incident of target killing.
