Traffic inspector shot dead in Peshawar
PESHAWAR, March 3: A traffic police inspector Faisl Kiani was shot dead by unidentified assailants in limits of Yakatoot police station on Thursday.
An official said Mr Kiani was going to his office on a motorbike that some unknown gunmen opened indiscriminate fire at him and fled the scene.
“He had no enmity, but the case seemed to be terrorism related,” he said. Mr Kiani belonged to Weno Serai area of Peshawar.
The funeral prayer of the slain policeman was offered at the Malik Saad police lines wherein Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Barrister Masood Kausar, provincial Minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour and Additional IGP Abdul Lateef Gandapur also participated.
