Islamabad police arrest 317 outlaws in 2months
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police in a campaign against proclaimed offenders (POs), court absconders and suspects arrested 317 persons involved in heinous crimes during the last two months, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
During last two months, City Zone police arrested 49 court absconders and 15 POs, Saddar Zone police arrested 40 court absconders and 27 POs, Industrial Area Zone police nabbed four court absconders and 13 POs and Rural Zone police arrested 130 court absconders and 29 POs.
Meanwhile, 590 suspects including beggars were also held during search operations in different areas of the city to curb menace of begging. Police also arrested 41 gamblers by raiding at various gambling dens, the police spokesman said.
