Lahore: AMLS arrests 5 bike lifters, recovers 25 bikes
LAHORE: The Anti-Motorcycle Lifting Staff (AMLS) Iqbal Town Division arrested five members of bike-lifter gangs and recovered 25 motorbikes worth Rs 1,355,000 as well as illegal weapons from their possession.
According to an official handout issued on Tuesday, on the directive of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Aslam Tareen, SSP Investigation Abdul Razzaq Cheema directed CRO SP Sajjad Ahmad Manj to take effective measures against motorcycle lifting and snatcher gangs.
Manj constituted a special team under the supervision of AMLS DSP Tariq Mehmood Sukhera comprising Inspector Naseer Ahmed Bajwa and other police officials.
The police team collected particulars of the Shahid alias Doctor and Tasawar alias Tasawari gangs and arrested their five members, including the ringleaders.
