Violence erupts in Karachi; schools to remain closed
KARACHI: Violence erupted in different parts of the metropolis Thursday night, Geo News reported.
Miscreants came out streets in Boat Basin area of Clifton started indiscriminate firing and also set two buses on fire before fleeing.
Two persons were injured as a result of firing in Lyari and Mauripur areas.
Reports of firing incidents were received from different parts of the city including Lyari, Garden, Mauripur, Sachal Goth and Malir.
Sindh Minister for Education Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq announced that all public and private schools will remain closed on Friday.
Karachi University also announced that examination scheduled to be held on Friday have been postponed. The new date for the exams will be announced later, the KU announcement added.
