CD shop blown up in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Suspected militants blew up a CD shop at main bazaar of Badhber on the suburbs of Peshawar in the small hours of Saturday, police said. An official of Bomb Disposal Unit said that a local made explosive device, packed in a ghee canister, was planted at a wall of the shop. The time device went off at about 2am and destroyed the shop, he added.
An official of Badhber police station told Dawn that the shop was located near a mosque, known as Spin Jumaat. It was destroyed completely in the ballast, he said. He added that police started search in the area but so far no one was arrested.
The owner of the shop, Syed Chiragh Shah, said that he had no enmity and avoided nominating anyone in the FIR. He said that the blast caused a loss of about Rs40,000 to him.
A case against unidentified terrorists, he said, was registered at Badhber police station and investigations were underway.
