Bank looted in Lahore
LAHORE: Dacoits stormed into the branch of UBL Bank in City Raiwind, shot at and wounded two security guards and fled away after collecting cash and other valuables worth Rs 1 million in broad daylight, eyewitnesses said on Monday.
Police sources revealed that five dacoits equipped with sophisticated weapons forced their entry into the UBL Branch in City Raiwind police area on early Monday. The dacoits held up the staff at gunpoint and also badly tortured them on offering resistance.
As the security guards of the bank, tried to overpower the bandits, they opened fire on them and fled away after collecting cash and valuables worth Rs 1 million.
