Lahore: Bullet hits cameraman in Punjab Assembly premises
LAHORE, March 14: A cameraman of a TV channel suffered a minor injury on the Punjab Assembly premises on Monday when a stray bullet hit him.
Mohammad Fayyaz was present in a tent when the bullet hit him. He was given first aid at Ganga Ram Hospital.
The journalists boycotted the assembly proceedings and demanded that the speaker adjourn the session and conduct an independent inquiry into the matter.
The opposition also joined the journalists in the boycott. Opposition Leader Raja Riaz said it was an attempt to stop journalists from airing opposition’s voice to the public. “The incident should be thoroughly investigated,” he said.
