Gujranwala: FIA arrests 3 illegal currency dealers
GUJRANWALA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested three illegal currency dealers and seized a hefty amount from their possession.
Reports said on the direction of Punjab FIA director Inam Ghani, a team raided Bano Bazaar, Sialkot, and arrested Soney Monay currency exchange owners Adnan and Muhammad Aslam.
Later, they also apprehended Tanveer Husain of Noble Traders in another raid.
The team recovered Rs900,000 in cash, 573 Euros, 20,000 Japanese Yen, 8,102 US dollars, 2,710 Yemeni Riyal, 2,045 Pounds, 12,900 Norway and Korean dollars, 13,485 UAE Dinars and 800 Kuwaiti Dinars from their possession.
A number of dealers ran away after locking their outlets when they heard of crackdown. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is under way.
