Illegal gateway exchange busted in Lahore
LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Tuesday claimed to have busted an illegal gateway exchange in Gulberg.
A team, headed by anti-cyber crime wing deputy director Sajid Akram, raided the illegal gateway and arrested two employees, Kamran Shahzad and Mohammad Ali, while owner Aamir Zaman was not present there.
The exchange was causing a loss of Rs12 million annually to the exchequer. The FIA also seized equipment, including three patch panel, five tellular gateways, 32 tellular single devices, two link switches and computers.
