Abducted child recovered in Swabi
SWABI: Police recovered a kidnapped Afghan child from a hideout during a pre-dawn raid here on Sunday. The six-year-old child, Rehmanullah, was playing with other children when he was abducted by the kidnappers from the jurisdiction of the Kalu Khan police station on Mach 15. The child belongs to an affluent Afghan family, said officials.
Later the father of the child registered FIR against the unidentified abductors who demanded a ransom of Rs200 million to set the child fee.
“The parents of the child shared the contact number with the police, which raided their hideout and got the child freed,” said an official. DSP Pir Shahab led the raid. The arrested kidnappers were identified as Said Bahadar, a resident of Mandani, Charsadda, Dost Mohammad and Mohammad Nabi, belonging to Swabi.
