4 US spies killed in North Waziristan
MIRAMSHAH: Militants shot dead four alleged US spies, an Afghan national among them, in the North Waziristan Agency on Monday, sources said. One body was found along a road in Datakhel, two in Dosali and the body of the Afghan national was recovered from a place in Mirali. Notes found near the bullet-riddled bodies said that since these people were working for America they deserved such treatment.
The sources said that the four men were kidnapped from different areas of the agency about two weeks ago. Usually, the Taliban interrogate ‘spies’ in their detention centres and then circulate in local markets CDs containing their statements. Such CDs are available at various shops in Miramshah and other parts of the volatile agency. Since January, 17 alleged spies have been killed. Militants often kill the alleged spies after a drone attack.
