Islamabad: CIA busted 10 gangs in a month, claim police
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) busted 10 notorious gangs and apprehended 41 persons for involvement in blind murders, dacoities, theft and car lifting in last one month. CIA also recovered gold ornaments worth more than Rs 10 million, cash, mobile phones, gemstones, vehicles and illegal weapons from their possession, said SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan addressing a press conference on Wednesday.
Inspector General Police Islamabad Wajid Ali Khan Durrani and DIG (operations) Bani Amin khan had directed the police to resolve crime cases, dacoities, and other crimes of heinous nature including blind murders in various areas. Following the directions, various cases were transferred to CIA Wing Islamabad Police and task was assigned to SP (Investigation).
Police teams, over the last month, succeeded to resolve two blind murder cases, 14 cases of dacoities, snatching valuables at gunpoint, domestic thefts, and car theft. 41 persons belonging to 10 criminal gangs were also nabbed by police teams and gold ornaments worth more than Rs. 10 million and other valuables were recovered from their possession.
CIA police team arrested the killers of Hamid Naveed’s daughter who was kidnapped and her body was dumped in Swan nullah. The case 403/10 was registered at Koral Police Station under section 302/201/365-B/34 PPC and the accused were arrested. The body was recovered from the site after three months. CIA got another success when it sorted out another blind murder case of Malik Zahoor Ahmed who was assassinated by unidentified motorists near Peshawar More in sector G-9/4 on July 14, 2006.
These nabbed persons involved in murders and dacoities have been identified as Ansar, Riaz Karmim, Muhammad Shehbaz, Farrukh Nadeem, Saddam Hussain, Usman Hussain, Saleem Akhtar, Gulistan Khan, Abid Hussain, Usman Irfan, Tahir Shehzad alias Ranjha, Syed Attique Ahmed, Faisal Khalil, Muhammad Tauseef, Adnan, Zaheer Ahmed, Aftab Hussain, Masood Abbassi, Muhammad Ramazan, Ali Ahmed, Abid Imran, Muhammad Saqib and others.
