MNA’s brother booked in abduction case in Kohat
KOHAT, March 22: Brother of an MNA and his two accomplices have been booked for kidnapping two tribesmen, who reached their homes after 18 days of captivity on Tuesday and recorded statements before a local court, police said.
The Ustarzai police said that two tribesmen, Saadullah and Muhammad Wali, were kidnapped along with their car on March 4 from Ustarzai. Their car was found abandoned a few days back at some distance from Orakzai Agency, the police said.
Nawab Khan, brother of one of the victims, had earlier accused Najul Hassan, the brother of MNA Jawadul Hassan from Orakzai Agency, and his accomplices Ameen Azam and Noor Azam, residents of Baramand Khel area, for the kidnapping under section 164.
Upon inquiry, the officials said that the police was devising a strategy to put hands on the `influential persons` because it had been witnessed that in such cases the victims succumb to pressure and enter into compromise with the accused.
