Man killed, brother hurt in aerial firing in Lahore
LAHORE: A man was killed and his brother injured critically when participants of a Mehndi function resorted to aerial firing to celebrate the occasion, witnesses and police said.
Ramgarh resident Muhammad Kashif invited his friends and relatives to his Mehndi function. On this occasion, his friends Chand Butt, Khalid Shah and three others resorted to aerial firing. During the firing, bullets hit Muhammad Umer and his brother Haris Ali. They were taken to hospital in a critical condition where Umer succumbed to his wounds and the condition of Ali was said to be critical. The suspects, however, fled. Police registered a case against five people, with no arrest till Thursday night.
