NH&MP recovers 4 stolen vehicles, arrests 3 car-lifters
Islamabad: National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) has recovered three cars, one Shehzor pickup and arrested four car lifters with arms and ammunition, which were stolen or snatched from different parts of the country.
The NH&MP officers SPO Iftikhar Hussain and PO Shafqat Ali during their routine patrol duty in the area of Sial More on Islamabad–Lahore Motorway (M-2) detected a Suzuki Mehran Car No. LEA-5371, which was over speeding and signalled to stop but the driver of the car instead of stopping, tried to run away.
However, on chasing by Motorway Police officers, they succeeded to stop the said car through commando action and arrested one car-lifter Javed Iqbal r/o Shahdara Town.
In the second incident, NH&MP was informed by local police that a white color Corolla car No. LEB-9249 model 2010 has been stolen from Phoolnagar, Kasur, furthermore tracker system is also installed in the said car which shows that the said car is moving on M-2 and requested for help in recovering the said car.
On this information, the Motorway Police got alerted all its patrolling officers. After few minutes the NH&MP officers SPO Qaiser Mushtaq and PO Hamid Khan detected the said car at M-2 in the area of Sheikhupura, and arrested three car-lifters Usman S/o Qiaser Khan, Naveed s/o Muhammad Rafiq and Masood s/o Muhammad Ismail r/o Lahore, and also recovered illegal arms & ammunition.
In fourth incident, Motorway Police was informed by local police that a white colour Shehzor pickup No. FDK-5340 has been stolen from Faisalabad, and requested for help in recovering the said Shehzor pickup.
