KARACHI: A young man was gunned down by unidentified men on M.A. Jinnah Road near the Radio Pakistan building in the early hours of Sunday.

A duty officer at the Preedy Police Station said that the victim was in his early 20s and his body had been shifted to the Edhi morgue for want of identification.

The incident occurred at around 2am when the unidentified men riding a motorcycle opened fire at the victim, the police said. He suffered multiple bullet wounds and was shifted to the Civil Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“The victim appears to be hailing from Azad Kashmir,” the duty officer added. An FIR had been lodged against unidentified suspects at the Preedy Police Station on behalf of the state.
