Karachi: Bail rejected
KARACHI, March 28: A sessions court on Monday dismissed the bail applications of two accused allegedly involved in the killing of a policeman.
The accused — Qurban Ali and Mohammad Amin — have been charged with killing Head Constable Mohammad Qurban during a robbery attempt within the remit of the Al-Falah police station in Sept 2009.
According to the prosecution, the accused broke into the house of the policeman to commit a robbery, but the victim put up resistance and they killed him. Accused Qurban Ali was arrested from the spot while his accomplice was apprehended the following day.
A case (FIR 235/09) was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 393 (attempt to commit robbery) and 34 (common intention) of the PPC on a complaint of the deceased`s wife.
