Couple gets life term for murder in Kasur
Kasur: A local court awarded life imprisonment and fine of Rs 100,000 to a husband and wife for murdering a man in cold blood. The convicts Muhammad Sharif and his wife Nargis Bibi will undergo additional imprisonment of one year each it they fail to pay the fine. Additional district and sessions judge Jazila Aslam acquitted co-accused Abdul Wahab on the benefit of doubt and lack of evidence. According to prosecution, the couple connived and shot dead Muhammad Aslam some time back in the area of Saddar police station.
The couple suspected illicit relations of the the victim with their daughter. Meanwhile, additional district and sessions judge, Jawad ul Hassan convicted three narcotics dealers for six-year term each. The court also awarded a fine of Rs 100,000 each to the convicts Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Rashid and Muhammad Hanif and acquitted other two accused Jaffar Ali and Haji Muhammad.
