3 killed in landmine blast in Duki
QUETTA: Three people were killed in a landmine explosion in the Duki area on Thursday, around 120 kilometres away from the provincial capital.
According to official sources, a private vehicle, carrying three people, was going to Chamalang from Duki when their car hit a landmine placed on the roadside. As a result, the vehicle was completely destroyed and the three passengers died on the spot.
Law enforcement agencies rushed to the spot soon after the incident and took the deceased to a nearby state-run hospital for autopsy where they were identified as Faiz Muhammad, Muhammad Anwar and Muhammad Saeed, residents of Loralai and Peshawar.
A case was registered and investigations were underway. The bodies were handed over to the heirs after the completion of medico-legal formalities.
