The petition seeks a probe into the defeat and wants the Federal Investigation Agency, National Accountability Bureau, Federal Board of Revenue and the State Bank of Pakistan to seize telephone and accounts record of the players and government functionaries who remained in contact with the former.

Interior and information ministers, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, cricket team captain, players Misbah-ul-Haq, Umar Akmal, Kamran Akmal and Pakistani ambassadors to the UK, India and the UAE have been made party in the petition.
