ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Sunday arrested seven persons including three dacoits and recovered two pistols, 30 wine bottles as well as looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, police arrested two dacoits Zia ur Rehman and Temur and recovered one 30 bore pistol and dagger from them. These dacoits had barged into the house of Asif Saeed Bahria town and deprived house inmates from cash, mobile phones and other valuables.
Efforts are underway to arrest their other accomplice Ibrar.
Shehzad town police arrested an accused Tameer Shah for his alleged involvement in street crime. He has confessed to snatch mobiles and other valuables from people in streets and police is searching for his other accomplice Tariq.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested Abid for having 30 bore pistol and 125 rounds while CIA police arrested an accused Asfand Yar for having 30 bore pistol and nine rounds.
Shehzad town police nabbed a bootlegger Khalid Mehmud and recovered 30 wine bottles from him while Koral police apprehended Pervez for having 160 grams hashish.
