Lahore: FIA arrest 2 human smugglers seizes 32 passports
LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two human-traffickers allegedly involved in minting money from the innocent citizens on the pretext of sending them abroad.
The raiding team also recovered 32 passports, cheque-books and other travel documents from their possession.
FIA Director Inam Ghani had received secret information that Muhammad Abbas Shah and Azhar Abbas were busy in minting money from the youngsters on the pretext of sending them to the European countries. For the same purpose they were getting huge money from the applicants.
Ghani constituted a raiding team in the supervision of Anti-Human Trafficking Cell Deputy Director Nasir Jamil. The team raided Qamar Trading on Mcleod Road and arrested the accused with fake travel documents.
Both the accused also used to prepare fake bank statements to help some applicants in real. An FIA investigator said that some of the applicants were also sent on study visas by the accused but they received huge amounts from the applicants illegally. The accused were running their business under the cover of shop of electronics appliances.
