QUETTA: Two NATO oil tankers were set on fire by unidentified terrorists in Dhaddar, Bolan District, on Wednesday.
According to Levies sources, two oil tankers carrying fuel for NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan were on their way from Karachi to Kandahar, when unidentified armed men on motorcycles opened fire at them near the Qambari Bridge. As a result, the tankers caught fire and were completely destroyed.
The assailants managed to escape after committing the crime. Balochistan Levies Force rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area and started a search operation. “The assailants were on three motorbikes and both the oil tankers were completely gutted,” a local official said. A case was registered against the unidentified people and investigations are underway.
