2 brothers among 7 killed in Faisalabad robbery attempts
Faisalabad: At least seven people including two real brothers and two robbers were killed and seven others including two women injured during two separate robberies attempts in different areas here on Thursday. According to police sources, some dacoits entered in a house for robbery in Chak Achakeeria area of Faisalabad and opened fire at a family when they offered resistance to theft.
As a result, two real brothers identified as Noor Muhammad and Akhtar Ali were killed while three persons Khan Muhammad his wife Haleema and daughter-in- law Shazia were injured. As the robbers were fleeing from the scene after the double murder, neighbourers rushed to the spot with weapons. They opened fire at the robbers, injuring one who was handed over to police while other dacoits managed to flee from the scene, police sources said.
The deceased and injured were shifted to Allied Hospital in Faisalabad. Police registered an FIR against the robbers and started investigation. In another robbery attempt occurred in Baseerpur area when some dacoit broke into a house for robbery and shot dead three persons and injured four others as they offered resistance. Neighbourers people opened fire at the robbers when they were escaping from the scene after killing of three persons while their others accomplices managed to flee from the spot.
Meanwhile two persons were killed in different incidents in and around the city on Wednesday. According to police, a sanitary worker Muhammad Afzal received serious injuries when his motorcycle slipped and he fell down on the ground. He was shifted to Allied Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. In another incident, the unidentified assailants opened fire at Karamat Ali when he was present in his house at Chak No.68-JB. As a result he received bullet injuries and died on spot.
