CHAKWAL: The blind murder of a married woman was traced out as it was found that her husband had killed her two years ago. This was stated by District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali Mohsin while briefing the newsmen. The DPO told in June 2009, Saddar Police recovered an unidentified strangled body of a woman from a well who was murdered by unknown person. As there was no complainant regarding the murder, therefore the case became a challenge for the police, he said.
The DPO informed that few days ago the mother of the deceased came to his office and told that her daughter, Touheed Akhtar, was missing from the past two years. He said that he directed Sub-Inspector Kazim to investigate the case and report, on which, the said officer acted sharply and found out that Nadeem Akhtar, son of Asghar Khan and resident of Mohallah Sarjogra, who is the husband of the deceased is the culprit.
