QUETTA: Four people were injured when unidentified armed men opened fire on a NATO oil tanker in the Rabi Canal area of Dera Murad Jamali on Thursday.

According to sources in the Levies Force, an oil tanker carrying fuel for NATO forces stationed in Afghanistan was on its way from Karachi to Kandahar when unidentified armed men riding on motorcycles opened fire on the tanker near the Rabi Canal area of the National Highway.

As a result, the tanker caught fire, which also engulfed a passing-by rickshaw. Four people, who were in the rickshaw, received burn injuries. The oil tanker and the rickshaw were completely destroyed in the attack and the attackers managed to escape after committing the crime.
