RAWALPINDI: The decomposed body of a taxi driver, who was kidnapped about five days ago, was found buried in the courtyard of a house in Naseerabad on Sunday, police said. Akhtar Jahangir, father of four, left the house on his cab last Tuesday but he did not return. His family searched for him but failed to trace him.
His brother, Mr Munir, lodged a complaint with the police in which he stated that one of his friends told him that he had seen his brother going towards Tarnol in his taxi along with two persons.
He said his friend told him that one of the two persons sitting in his brother’s taxi appeared to be a scrap dealer of Qasimabad locality of Naseerabad. On this information the police party raided the shop of scrap dealer identified as Mr Ijaz.
