Police arrest 18 criminals in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: The Capital police on Sunday arrested 18 outlaws, including five women for their alleged involvement in drug peddling, possessing illegal weapons and liquor and also recovered looted items from their custody, said a police spokesman.
Police arrested 10 outlaws, including a gang of dacoits. The gangsters were identified as Asad Muhammad, Abdul Rehman, Habibur Rehman, Muhammad Imran, Sabir Hussain and Qasim Shah. The police also recovered looted items worth Rs 550,000, and a 30-bore pistol from their possession, which they had snatched from Muhammad Altaf.
Meanwhile, four other persons identified as Zameer Gul, Shamshad Begum, Muhammad Masood and Waqas were arrested with two-kilogram hashish, a 30-bore pistol and fake currency of Rs25,000. ASI Ashfaq Ahmed from Sihala police arrested four women Jameela Bibi, Sameena Bibi, Ulfat Bibi and Safya Bibi for their alleged involvement in various dacoity incidents. Gold ornaments worth Rs240,000 were also recovered from them, which they had snatched from Nadia Khizar.
CIA police apprehended accused Jamshed Khan for having 30-bore pistol while ASI Niaz Hussain from Shehzad Town Police Station arrested a thief Sajjad Hussain besides recovering a 30 bore pistol from him.
